Record breaking ticket sale and a packed audience at the opera house Tuesday evening. Charles McCutcheon told the crowd he was no orator yet delighted them with quick cartoons. A Chicago Tribune cartoonist earning $20 000 annually drew three local caricatures to thunderous applause.
Mr. Heard overseer of the county poor farm and his daughter Artie traveled from Eldora to visit Chris Cable and friends. He returned Friday, Artie stayed to Saturday with Luli Cable and Ruth Thomas, then spent Sunday at the county seat.
G A Elsig a farmer near Iowa Falls sues J H Bales president First National Bank for 20000 for injuries from driving into an open ditch along a public highway that was left unfinished since 1903. He alleges serious injuries requiring hospital visits and crutches since leaving hospital. The trial featured lengthy cross-examination with lawyers George L Weaver and judge M J.

Elizabeth Miller Moorman, born January 3, 1832 near Wilmington Ohio, died October 1904 at age 73 after a long illness. She married John C. Moorman in 1850 and moved west to Vidora. Survived by three of six children Clinton Minneapolis Lucy McDonald Iowa Falls Jessie, with granddaughter Elizabeth McDonald assisting. Funeral held yesterday at 3 p.m. at home, Rev T J O Conner officiating.
The grand jury returned four indictments after a Monday to Wednesday session. Edwin O. Soule, already serving 18 months at Anamosa with December end, faces a new fraudulent banking indictment. T. S. Crippen of Jackson township is charged with shooting with intent to murder, though context suggests provocation. Two other indictments exist, names undisclosed.
A city notice warns that anyone interfering with person or property or committing depredations on October 31 will be punished to the fullest extent as if the act occurred on another date. Mayor Governor Br. Ginman signs the proclamation.
