Eldora mourns Frank A Norris who died at his home after a year long illness. Born September 23 1851 in West Point New York he moved to Eldora in 1867. He married Orpha Dysinger in 1874 and left four children, plus a brother in British Columbia. He rebuilt after a 1894 fire to run Norris City Book Store.

Hardin County Board of Supervisors at Elorna April 22 1909 rescinded a jail insurance award of 2500 to Fire Insurance Co of Hartford and granted to Aetna Insurance Co of Hartford. Eldora Man George Gilman Dies After Long Service
George E. Gilman of Eldora died at home Wednesday night at age 49 years 10 months and 28 days. Born in Earlville May 30 1859 he lived in Eldora since 1868. He married Elizabeth Hamilton May 11 1886 and had six children Josephine Edmund Charles Jay Abbie and Ardis. He is survived by his wife mother sister and an aunt. A former business partner of Meader Gilman and later in hardware and implement trades he served on the Eldora city council was mayor four years and sat on the school board. Funeral today at 2:30 p.m. viewing Friday afternoon.
