A cash buyer, Peter Jensen, advertises he pays top prices for poultry and eggs. He asks producers to bring stock while prices are favorable, locating the purchase point south of Slack hotel.
Supt. B. J. Miles and Mrs Miles conclude twenty five years of leadership at the Iowa Industrial School for Boys in Eldora. A farewell reception by officers honored their service as Col. Drake of Missouri prepares to assume the vacated post in Washington.
Announcement from Fremont Neb announces the marriage of Grace Quick to William Claude Everette Smith on June 21 1904 in Fremont with at home in Atkinson Neb. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs T H Quick of Eldora and the groom formerly clerked in the New Store and was a bookkeeper for Wardman. The event surprised Ellora society and is hoped to be a happy union. The note also mentions black heron colonists along the upper Iowa river and several local notices including Dr Robi Underwood passing the Nebraska Iowa Illinois Michigan Wisconsin Ohio inter-state exam and plans to practice. Dr Fowler's extract praised for dysentery and a Hardin County Agricultural Society fair with $10000 in purses set for Aug 30 to Sept 2 in Eldora.
Geo Slack, a youth from Northwoodville, was referred by Justice Christy to the district court and sent to the Industrial School at Eldora after being caught taking change from a store cash drawer near the post office. The Des Moines Register and Leader reported the incident yesterday. Davis and Moser advertise Wheeler screens with regular sizes and fair prices.
The Iowa Falls Chautauqua runs July 10 to 19 with daily programs by noted speakers jugglers magicians singers and musicians. Attendees can enjoy boating fishing and camping along the Iowa river.
