The Christian church gold medal contest last Friday drew a large audience. Miss Rose Lancaster won the medal with little outside drill, Gladys Richardson of New Providence took second. The program featured many young performers, piano solos, a dialogue, and enthusiastic applause.

Miller's Meeting Seeks Seed Wheat Quality to Boost Iowa Acreage
Delegates from Marshalltown Le Grand Reinhold Steamboat Rock and other towns met in Eldora for a quarterly millers gathering. The main aim was to discuss seed wheat quality to lift yields and expand acreage with proper pre sowing preparation. Robert Schriber of Des Moines spoke. Officers were J J Benison president J W Bags secretary and H Mammond treasurer. The next meeting is set for Steamboat Rock on June 14.

John W. Miller of Clarno Wisconsin died in Des Moines on February 17 1805 aged 44 years 3 months and 26 days leaving a wife seven children and extended kin in Iowa Wisconsin and Colorado. Funeral from Fred Miller’s home Monday at 1 pm conducted by Rev Kauffman interment Greenwood. The notice also recalls Eldora lyceum events and previews the Katherine Ridgeway Company at Wisner opera house on March 1 1904 with a program blending music and readered entertainment.
