The Alice Echo reports the dedication of a recently constructed home on B F Lynn’s farm near Alice Texas. On Wednesday evening January 20 a sizable gathering of Baptist residents attended the event.
Saint N. Singh, a native Hindu, addressed the Baptist church Sunday evening detailing the customs of his people from birth to death. The address was described as instructive and interesting, offering insight into Hindu practices and beliefs.
William F. Winter, recent Hardin county district court life sentencee, was escorted through Marshall by Sheriff Thomas Walsh on the Central train en route to Fort Madison. He told a Times-Republican reporter he would be a model prisoner and seeks a pardon in time. He stated he has told the whole truth and plans to be useful while serving his term.
