William C. Brown a highly respected pioneer and tailor dies at 9 30 Friday after a brief illness from pneumonia. Born January 5 1827 in Denby England he came to America in 1849 and settled in Freeport Illinois later moving to Eldora. Survived by his wife and thirteen children the funeral was Sunday conducted by Rev. W E Stanley with AOUW pallbearers. Interment at the hill cemetery east of the city.
Harvey Lamprecht aged fifteen, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Wm Lamprecht, died at his home after a weeks illness from typhoid fever. He was buried from the family home with Rev Geo B Shoemaker of the M E church officiating. A long item mentions local theater events and Thanksgiving notices from Eldora area residents.
