The bank, organized in 1868, remains prosperous as oldest in Bidora Hardin county.

Robbery at Devils Lake Furthers Hecker Identity
Owen Hecker, longtime Hubbard resident and Minot postmaster, was robbed at the Devils Lake chautauqua grounds Sunday. Two well dressed men, one about 40 and the other 23 or 24, distracted him and grabbed his pocketbook containing 870 in cash, a 500 dollar CD, a 1000 dollar note and a 250 dollar note. Hecker reported the loss to authorities. suspects described and pursued, with Hecker age over eighty and unable to defend himself.

Fatal Accident Claims Ackley Professor Graves at 80
Prof. G A Graves of Ackley a retired educator nearly reached his eightieth year when a colt trampled him after he was unhooking it from a cart. He died about 1 a m from chest injuries. Graves held long teaching roles including an Ackley principalship and was a deacon and Sabbath school superintendent. He leaves a wife two daughters and a son William practicing law in Oklahoma.

Ackley Woman Dies After Fall at Daughter's Home
Mrs. Weibel of Ackley aged about seventy, frail, fell head first down stairs at her daughter's home. She died soon after from a broken neck and related injuries. Funeral held Monday at the Catholic church.
