Local figures like I M Lockwood and J H Funk circulate in politics and social events as students depart for Ames and others plan travels to Minnesota and Mason City.
A prominent Ackley man, Mr Doepke, will marry Miss Rose Henderson today at the bride’s home in Atlantic Iowa. The couple will tour the east, notably Washington, before returning to Ackley in about four weeks to resume their life together.

Mrs Hannah Sophia Duston of Salt Lake County Utah born Feb 32 1849 died April 2 19Q4 at 55 years 1 month 11 days. She married James Kinney producing four daughters and later William Thomas with six children two of whom died. She joined M E church at Berlin ten years ago and was a faithful member. Survived by husband three boys and two girls in Eldora and nearby. eldest daughter in California. Peace to her ashes.
