On to Fayette Knights Parade Dates July 16 to 21

The Grand Setting of the Knights of Pythias and Order of Calanthe runs from July 16 through July 21. The event promises ceremonial pageantry and fraternal activities.

The Springfield District Green County Colored Institute in Missouri, serving fourteen southwest counties, closed a successful session with twenty six teachers and conductor B W Adams reporting strong interest. Pleasant Creen Tabernacle Annual Sermon Read

Pleasant Creen Tabernacle No 15 St Thomas Temple No 8 and Rose Bud Tent No 8 held their annual sermon on the 16th with about 45 Sir Knights and daughters in attendance. Rev Brown preached at the C M E church to a well filled house. Mrs Maria Herndon is High Priestess and H Washington Chief Mentor Rev Bolden spoke in the city on the 28th. Mrs K B Miller is very ill. Rev Bohannon was away on business last week.
