Death of a Centenarian Mary Spriggs, Early Kentucky Settler
Mary Spriggs born December 11 1802 near Eppersonsville Warren county Kentucky. Owned by Dr Harris she lived 102 years 11 months 22 days dying December 3 at her daughter's home. Emancipated from Anderson Warren she had eleven children 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She helped establish the Meth Episcopal church in Sweet Springs and was famed for Christian virtues and charity. Her death is described as a peaceful call to reward with faith in God.
