I O McDaniels proprietor of the Commercial hotel at 203 West Main is charged with renting rooms for immoral purposes. He initially pleaded guilty but then withdrew and retained Sangree and Lamm for his defense. A hearing is set for June 12 to hear out witnesses from out of town, including a Holden Missouri college girl. Mayor Babcock investigated and found no police discredit but confirmed complaints about hotel agents contacting tenants.
