Federal National of Pittsburgh pa collapses after morning bank run with capital of two million dollars. Regulators seize the institution and announce closure plans as customers react. Officials say event stems from liquidity concerns and market conditions.
The Federal National bank did not open and the comptroller appointed John B. Cunningham receiver. The bank, founded in 1901 with two million capital, reported over seven million in resources in September. President Joseph A. Langfett led it. collapse blamed on Eastern Tube Co and Bolivar National Bank paper. Officials expect assets to cover liabilities and no broad city impact.
Charles A. Rollins, longtime wholesale grocer, was found dead at his Boston home with gas emitting from a tube by his mouth. Nearby lay his coachman Thomas Ryan, who also died from asphyxiation after alerting friends by phone. The deaths are described as mysterious with no clear cause at this time.

New York October 21 Pittsburg bank failure caused only a momentary unfavorable effect on the stock market this morning as advices minimized the incident and assured the solidity of other banks in the city.
The ladies of St Patrick's church held a ten cent coffee sale at M Garvin 226 East Fifth Street. Coffee cake and sandwiches were served and receipts totaled 53 dollars. Prizes were awarded after progressive games with Mrs Henry Leist winning the ladies first prize a silver nail file and Miss Kathryn Sullivan the consolation prize.
The Sedalia fishing party headed toward the Osage hills and Niangua river finds its return delayed after a wagon wheel breaks and a replacement is sent from St Louis. Continuous rain south of home intensifies the urge to return as plans to start home today are thwarted.
In circuit court today Morris Harter filed garnishment against Citizens National Bank with garnishee H M Seibert. The plaintiff dismissed the case, ending the action.
A marriage license was issued today to F. J. Rodman of Jefferson City and Varina Hughes of this city. The wedding is scheduled for this evening.
Ernest Wigton received the third degree at the regular meeting of Prairie Queen lodge No. 25 I O O F last night.
The ladies of the First Congregational Church served a church dinner in the parish parlors today and realized over $17 for church funds.

George W. Rumble was arrested in San Francisco by federal authorities for using the mails to promote an alleged get rich quick mining scheme. He is said to have profited by promising two percent monthly returns to Eastern buyers who purchased his stock.
In the circuit court the dispute Elizabeth Fisher versus John R Clopton administrator of John Fisher's estate is on trial. Mrs Fisher seeks dower and maintenance while the estate's will directs property to a city hospital trust and denies her participation. A verdict for $700 was previously rendered in probate and Clopton appeals to the circuit court where Judge Longan hears the arguments.
Mesdames R W Griffith and W W Herold host over three hundred guests at the Griffith residence on West Seventh Street this afternoon in a formal reception.
Berlin reports Count Von Larisch Moennich described a $50 000 draft sent by a money lenders syndicate after his 1901 wedding to Miss Mary Hatterfield of Titusville Pa. The Ladies' Musical Club gathered in the courthouse club rooms with Mesdames Crawford and MacGugin in charge. Mrs. Evans presented Life of Handel, followed by vocal and instrumental solos by Mrs. Yancey, Miss Florence Scott, Mrs. Crawford, Miss Virginia Dempsey, and Miss Allie Brown. Current events were led by Mrs. Offield.
A Lloyds dispatch reports the Milton Park missing after sailing from Liverpool to Fremantle in March. Captain Tulmiry and all twenty four crew members are believed drowned.
