Missouri Pacific to abandon city hospital for new western centers
The Missouri Pacific railroad will close its Seventh and May street hospital on June 1 1900 and replace it with small emergency hospitals in Kansas City Omaha Pueblo Osawatomie Coffeyville and other cities. The move aims to speed care for injured employees though full operation may take months. Dr. Willis P. King runs the current hospital.
