Belgrade Nov 17 The claims on the estate of the late King Alexander of Servia total more than thirty million francs. The Scripps-McRae Press Association notes the sizable sum and lists creditors and potential payouts amid lingering disputes over inheritance.
Welwain Demuth and Welwain Demuth prepare to unite in holy wedlock this evening at seven, joining their families in a formal ceremony announced in the local society pages.
The wedding will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church this evening at 7 o'clock with Bishop Atwill officiating. The bride, daughter of Colonel and Mrs H Demuth, will wear point d esprit lace over white taffeta and a white tulle veil, with maid of honor Mabel Hain and bridesmaids Laura McElwain Ethel Collings Annie Neill. A reception will follow at the bride’s parents’ home at Tenth and Kentucky streets. Out-of-town guests include families from Brookfield Boonville Kansas City St Louis and Conville.
Reverend J. J. Pritchett of the Yith street M E church South will speak at a banquet of state educators Thursday evening at the Washington hotel in St. Louis. He will deliver a toast on Our Opportunity. Other speakers include Rolla Wells Bishop E R Hendricks J C Morris Tyson Dines A M Dockery M R Smith and Dr Green.
Probate Judge O E Parsons officiated two marriages in the courthouse today. The first couple were Charles Homan and Mamie Lee Burford of Otterville. The second pair were F R Green and Mabel Bushwell, both of Clinton Missouri, wed at 2 PM.
A vagrancy charge was filed today in criminal court against Ruth and Jean Hill. The two girls likely face placement at the Industrial Home for Girls in Chillicothe Missouri.
Frank Shoup was appointed Monday afternoon as administrator of the estate of Thomas Shoup, deceased, by Probate Judge O F E Parsons.

In federal court Judge Munger blasted yesterday’s grand jury that indicted Senator Chas Dietrich and Postmaster Jacob Fisher on bribery charges in a Hastings post office case. He warned that the indictments may be quashed and suggested another grand jury could investigate the current panel for secrecy breaches. Dietrich is due in court. Fisher awaits bond after denying wrongdoing.
The corpse of 17 year old Ella Henneger was found half buried in sand near Bishop, Illinois, with injuries indicating a struggle. Fred Strube, her 21 year old admirer, vanished after the supper outing last Saturday night and is believed linked to the crime as authorities search the surrounding area.
Circuit Attorney Joseph W. Folk plans to file in circuit court for final disposition of the $75,000 escrow held at Lincoln Trust.
