Horses Stolen From Blackburn Livery Sailor Recovered

Otto Kobs of Blackburn owned two horses and a buggy rented to a stranger who gave the name Charlies Johnson to John Menefee Jr. The thief drove off Monday night, sold the team to Menefee, and fled after Menefee told the bank not to honor the check. The owner arrived today to claim his property.

Naturalization Fraud Participant Sentenced

Charles Weissman pleaded guilty to participating in naturalization frauds and was sentenced in federal court to three years in prison. The proceeding was reported by the Scripps-McRae Press Association from St. Louis.

Susie Payne on Trial for Robbery Case

The state versus Susie Payne colored charged with robbery began trial in criminal court before a jury. John Alexander, charged with stealing goods under 30 dollars, withdrew not guilty and pleaded guilty, to be sentenced later.

Miss Anna Golden was listed among the injured in a Wednesday morning collision on the Twelfth street viaduct in Kansas City. A Sedalia acquaintance recently returned from a visit, and friends here are relieved her injuries are slight.

New York November 6 Sam Parks the walking delegate convicted of extorting 500 from Fiff any Studios was sentenced to two years and three months in Sing Sing. Judge Newburger overruled the motion for a new trial and Parks received the sentence coolly.

Death of Art Weikal in Sedalia typhoid illness

Arthur Weikal age 22 of Sedalia died at 406 East Main Street Thursday evening after a weeks long typhoid fever. Born November 1 1881 in West Salem Ohio he moved to Sedalia as a child and worked as a printer. He leaves parents six siblings and funeral services were held in Sedalia before burial at Lamonte.
