Jefferson City May 31 Governor Stephens has offered the colonelcy of a Missouri regiment to the Hon. Wm. J. Bryan of Nebraska under the President's second call for volunteers. Stephens would appoint if empowered by the call.
In Pettis county court Judge George F. Longan named H. L. Gray, state supervisor of building and loan associations, as receiver for Midland Savings and Loan Associations of Sedalia. Gray’s bond was set at $50,000.
The Bunster and Hill cases, set for Judge Truxel's court today, were continued because the defendants are ill. The adjournment delays the trial date and updates case status accordingly.
