Ladies Musical Club Elects Officers and Expands Members
The Sedalia Ladies Musical club holds its final meeting of the year at the College of Music hall. Officers elected include President Mrs. W D Steele and Vice President Miss Beulah Harris. Membership grows from fifty to sixty with new vocal and instrumental exam rules. The club retains prize money for club use and sends 150 to the Gentlemen's Musical club. An associate membership option gains voting rights. The group notes nine years of progress and plans for stronger chorus work. By acclamation today as all other candidates have withdrawn in his favor. The Women’s Relief Corps was called to order at the Baptist church by President Mrs. J. T. Bronson. Routine work was gone through and Mrs. Helen E. Day, of Kansas City, elected department president, after which adjournment was taken.

Track condition at state fair grounds noted for improvement
The race track at the state fair grounds is in good overall shape with the south side settled about a foot after last year's work. The north side settled six tenths of an inch, and temporary improvements will be made for training though full restoration to first class condition is planned for late June or early July before the coming fair.
