A home at 400 West Pettis Street, the Sherman Bird residence, was entered yesterday noon while the family was away. Thieves stole $23, two coats, dress skirts, and hidden valuables. a pawn-shop lead linked to Henry Taylor, arrested at a Main Street saloon, and Posey Payne were jailed.
