The Colorado Road builders choose a Cole Camp Windsor Warrensburg path over Sedalia, citing a half million dollar higher cost to reach Sedalia. The line is surveyed from Versailles to Warrensburg with contracts to be let soon.

Mr Koock was guest of honor with G A R members present. Dr E Nasse served as toast master and welcomed G A R members. Dr Ira T Bronson replied. Several others replied to toasts. Dr Nasse then presented Mr Cook with a fine rocker on behalf of the Pronger society. Festivities ended with a smoker.
John Stone aged 45 was found dead Sunday in a shallow pool of water after a night of drinking. The incident suggests possible accidental drowning with alcohol likely a contributing factor.
G S Gibb and Great Eastern Railway leaders visited the U S and adopted our tonnage rating system for trains and plan further US style changes. Chief Engineer Brown reports the Pennsylvania system total mileage at year end 19 055 miles with 5 492 miles of sidings and 10 466 miles main line 5 724 east of Pittsburg and Erie and 4 742 west.
