Citizens plan a joint ticket after ward primaries. Republicans name Mayor and city officers while Democrats seek same balance. Delegates pledge to back a unified slate, with contests noted for collectorship and city attorney, plus alderman and school commissioner races.
Sedalia Republicans held four primaries Tuesday night and announced delegates to the convention at the court house tonight. Ward delegates include C. E. Messerly E. R. G. Williams and others while Ward groups list J. H. Mertz H. T. Williams W. J. Letts Wes Hoffman C. W. Robbins and Whitearth Ward-Henry Lamm J. H.
Federal jurors selected in Jefferson City. Judge Willis Franklin, a leading Pettis county figure born 1827 in Dandridge, died at his home five miles east of the city after a long illness. He served two terms as Pettis county judge and leaves a wife, four children, and two brothers. Funeral is Friday at 10 AM with burial at the city cemetery at 1 PM.
