Ex Gov Stone arrived from Missouri and registered at the Auditorium then left for New York. He dismissed Carter Harrison speculation as newspaper squibs and said Missouri talk is limited to some Democrats who see timber but nothing definite due to the heat and early timing.
The Kansas state twine plant received the final shipment of 250 bales sisal grass and will close for the season. Total output for the year exceeds 1,250,000 pounds and sold to Kansas farmers at about two and a half cents under trust prices. The plant saved farmers about 300,000 dollars through competition, though produced just over 1,000,000 pounds.
Mr W S Whedon, cashier of the First National bank of Winterset Iowa, reports a carpenter he employed was troubled with diarrhoea and recovered after using Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. Sold by druggists for 75 cents.
