Fossil Collection Sold to Chicago University
F A Sampson completed shipping the remainder of his fossil collection to Chicago University this Monday. The lifetimes work includes sixty type specimens described in Missouri Indiana Illinois and New York reports. The university received part of the collection for 800 dollars and the remainder as a gift, with the total value about 1500 dollars.

Sedalia College of Music Hosts Grand June Concert
The Sedalia College of Music's annual June concert under director O H Tiede drew an immense audience and high praise. The program highlighted four graduates Christine Kuhn Florence Tyree Josephine Rast Willa Varina Hughes and featured a range of piano violin mandolin guitar and vocal performances with an elaborate decor scheme and strong ensemble work. The event marked the college's first year culminated in diploma delivery by Rev F L Cook and included an orchestra drawn from Sedalia talent and Second Regiment band under H W Steininger.

Death of Emma M. Ragsdale Well-known Katy passenger
Emma M. Ragsdale wife of James C. Ragsdale a Katy passenger brakeman died at 5 50 this morning after a four year illness from a fall injuries and long decline. Funeral from 503 East Fifth street at 2 p m Wednesday with Rev F L Cook officiating. She was 42 born September 22 1858 in Bedford Indiana survived by six children Georgia Frankie Nora John Bernice and Margaret. Her mother Lydia Campbell and several Campbell siblings also survive. The couple moved to Sedalia in 1889 where she remained a member of the First Christian church.

Instruction runs each forenoon from 8:30 to 11:30 in religion and German, taught by the pastor and his youngest son, Theophil.
