Justice David Kinsey departs tonight for Dayton Ohio to attend the Ninety third Ohio regimental reunion in the Civil War era. He will be away about ten days visiting relatives in Dayton and other Ohio cities before returning home.
In police court this morning Daniel McGillup and Frank Jones were arraigned on a charge of carrying concealed weapons. Both were fined 50 dollars and jailed for inability to pay. Sam Atkinson was charged with vagrancy and fined 25 dollars.

A farmer known as Ch. Mech near Sedalia smashed a plate glass window at John T. Collins furniture and carpet store while intoxicated. The glass valued at $35 was broken into hundreds of pieces and Mech was placed under arrest awaiting billing after sobering.
The National Federation of Millers with 600 delegates met in Kansas City for its annual convention. After adjournment they will tour Kansas and Oklahoma and visit the Miller Brothers hundred and one ranch to conclude the gathering.
Forest Park will open Sunday with an afternoon concert from 2 30 to 5 p m by Brand s full orchestra and an evening concert from 8 to 10 p m. The event marks the formal opening of the park with music provided by Brand s orchestra.
Members of the Ritchie tent Knights of the Maccabees left this afternoon for Flat Creek to enjoy their annual fish fry. This evening Brand's orchestra will render a musical program for the Knights and their guests.

Mrs. H. C. Ludemann will host the Ladies' Aid society of the German Evangelical church for an afternoon gathering tomorrow at her Liberty Park hotel home.

The Norwegian Storting declares the union with Sweden ended and that King Oscar is no longer king of Norway. A temporary government is installed to rule in the king's name while a proclamation to the Norwegian people and future prince line is anticipated. Premier Michelsen accepts the temporary authority.
Fire alarms sounded at 2 15 pm as a crowd gathered at the court house. Fire crews arrived quickly and found a small gutter nest fire on the roof. Bird nest debris burned briefly and was extinguished with babcocks after a difficult climb to the dome.
Columbus June 7 Governor Herrick said the chairmanship of the Equitable Life Insurance Society has not been tendered to him. He noted that when first mentioned he told the proposer his interests lie in Ohio where he had just been renominated for governor.

Katy conductor L R McVey receives word his son H R McVey 24 was killed last night in Los Angeles, likely in a railroad accident. He formerly worked as a Katy fireman and Missouri Pacific employee, member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and Sedalia Eagles lodge. Remains expected to be brought home for burial.
