Excursion crowds exceed five hundred as Jefferson City tops Sedalia 11 to 7 after an early Sedalia lead. Game featured a train trip with stops at California and Tipton and a lively postgame view of Capital Hill penitentiary.
The Pettis circuit court criminal division convened with Judge Longan. Fines on Roxy Roach and Bart Jackson for disturbing the peace were affirmed. Several cases were continued or set for June 17 including St. Lawrence forger charges. Frank Falkner and Frank Gnau pleaded guilty to horse theft and grand larceny respectively. A disturbance involving the Edwards family prompted further hearings tomorrow. Deputy US Marshal McKenna arrived to review counterfeiters.
Sunday game at Jefferson City ball park drew a crowd as Sedalia surged to a 7 to 0 lead by the fifth inning. Rohn drove in three in the second inning while Wilson and Garvin contributed in the opening rally before Sedalia faltered defensively and lost momentum in the later frames. Harrison pitched well early for Jefferson City.
Hon J B Rickman visited the capital Sunday while Sedalia faced Jefferson City. Harrison's early humor faded as the game drifted, and Sedalia struggled with a small park. Garvin impressed as coach with his stylish steps. A Sedalia player nicknamed Si showcased willow stick skills.

Davis of Sedalia camp 16 and Mrs Christina Jefferson of the Woodmen Circle. Dr S G Crawford was circle orator. W D Steele Gross and W W Moseley spoke for Sedalia camp.

The county court met in monthly session and issued pauper warrants for much of the morning. The bond of Constable J. A. Robb for 5000 dollars was approved with U S Fidelity and Guaranty Co as surety after the death of D J Holcomb.
Rachel Armstrong colored arrested Saturday night on highway robbery charge to be tried before Judge Rogers at 10 a m Thursday for petit larceny. It is alleged she took a small sum of money from a visitor in Sedalia.
Messrs. Senior and Butcher of Lamonte settled a $300 loss claim against Missouri Pacific for $250 after a Christmas shipment failure. A. W. Smith of Northeast Sedalia, Lace Curtains Laundered Longan's, appeared in police court this morning.

McLaughlin Brothers and J. E. Hillis have purchased the Collins undertaking stock and fixtures and will close the Osage and Third Street location. Collins was the successor to Keck & Ramsey at that site.

George Mulligan of Liberal Kansas alleges he is president of Eagle City Mining and Exploration and was robbed of 17 000 on a bright downtown Seattle street. Two men dragged him into a dark alley and ripped open his shirt to take the money before fleeing. Police were investigation ongoing.
Lawyers for J M Cannon and other heirs trace title to a large coal region tract near Manassas West Virginia worth about 2 million dollars. Occupants claim a deed by Cannon heirs, but officials say the document is false and the estate should revert to the Cannon family. The Sedalia paper notes Cannon’s potential impact if realized.
Thomas Eudaley 72 died Sunday morning in Kansas City while visiting his son John Eudaley. An old soldier, he resided with his son in law Reuben Hawkins family at Eighteenth and Ingram. Body to arrive at 4 p m. funeral set for Tuesday at 10 a m at the residence.
Queen Helena gave birth to a daughter named Yolanda Margherita in Rome on Saturday morning. King Victor Emmanuel expressed contentment with the birth while others feel disappointment. Guns fired across Italy and telegrams of congratulation poured in as the Queen and infant daughter do well. Nearby, Jerry Mulcahy’s health worsens as friends express concern.
