City hall rally set for Monday to consider abolishing the city detective position and trimming the police force to seven. Reports say over 37000 in debts due August 1 include 20000 to the water company and 5000 to the electric light company plus other current expenses and revenue funds. The charter allows removal of officers by a majority of the mayor and council.
All members are asked to meet at the post hall at one o clock Sunday 16th to attend the funeral of Comrade Bridges. Those with conveyances should bring them. others will be furnished transport to the cemetery and back. By order of E W Greer ex, PC
