White Mob Attacks Black Residents in Indiana Suburb
In Baptist Town Evansville Indiana a mob of white citizens fired on homes of colored residents this morning. Police were unable to stop the raid and soldiers were awaited after Governor ordered troops. A Black man Lee Brown was moved to Vincennes for safety and is said to be dying from a wound. A special grand jury was convened by Judge Rasch to review the case.

Crazed Son Shuts Father and Robbery at Sandy Hook
Robbers struck Sandy Hook Missouri on a Saturday night into Sunday morning, blowing open a post office safe and a store. They took cash and checks totaling $90 and some postmaster pets, escaping by a skiff near the river. The post office and store entrances were pried open and the crimes were discovered Sunday morning.

John McMurdo aged 72 died at 5 20 Sunday morning at his home 207 East Boonville street from general debility. He was born February 8 1831 in Randolph county Illinois and moved to this city in 1874 where he has lived since. Survived by wife and four children T J McMurdo Mary Raney Lizzie Setter and W W Wiley. Funeral services from his home Tuesday at 2 PM.

Clara F of Omaha died in Fort Dodge when a "Slide for life" wire from the courthouse tower to a nearby pole broke free. The harness released just after release, sending her about 100 feet to the crowd below where she struck W Wheeler of Fort Dodge. The severity of Wheeler’s injuries is not certain.
