Mrs. George Smail, 73, died after a fire at her home eight miles southeast of Medalia. The building burned when a defective flue ignited. neighbors George Wiedeman and Henry Myers's son George Myers rescued her multiple times as the house collapsed. She died after ten hours of suffering. The unins ured home valued at about $500.
Reverend J. S. Myers uses Sheridan's Ride in sermons while Pastor Louis P. Cain criticizes Sedalia church conversions noting only about two percent of residents are believed to have turned to faith.
A letter to the Sentinel advocates city county cooperation to build a workhouse to employ prisoners on road projects, reducing costs and crime. Rev H D Stauffer delivered an eloquent sermon while Miss Kirby led captivating singing and the choir accompanied by two organs two violins and a large audience. Revival services continue this week with Kirby singers and a 6 30 pm prayer meeting in the lecture room led by Mr Corley.

E. W. Hembree who sued the City of Sedalia for damages was fined $1 and costs for assaulting Chas. McCormick in Judge Burr's court today. The suit sought $1,000 for the loss of his wife's society.
Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison died from general debility at her home number 126 Jefferson Street aged 72. The remains will be shipped to Glensted Missouri for burial.
