Mrs Lucilie Lane youngest daughter of former Senator Joe Blackburn of Keontuccky shot herself in a Wellington hotel room in Washington just after 1 am. The wound was mortal and the circumstances remain a deep mystery with family statements calling it an accident.
Horace Umbles, a young Black man, stole a sack of flour from farmer Moon on Saturday evening and was arrested. He was convicted of theft in Judge Truxel's court this morning and sentenced to five days in jail.
Advertises cheap coal grades including Whipple, Kieh Hill, Nat, Lexington and Scranton anthracite. Also sells seasoned wood, feed, sewer pipe, vitrified building and fire brick with yard and downtown addresses and phone number.

A former Sedalia Building and Loan Association secretary and long time editor of the Tipton Times, Monroe is a Democratic party active, well known in Jefferson City and statewide. The appointment garners broad support and congratulations.

William Ford, recently fined for stealing an overcoat, escapes with the big brass key after Bailey’s guard is momentarily down. Ford remains at large as police free Bailey. Low was caught stealing shovels from a farmer by Duty Constable Jim Card on Saturday night. An easy conviction followed in Judge Farnham's court this morning with a $1 fine plus costs imposed.
James Wilkerson was convicted in Justice Burrs court this morning for assaulting John Lee. He was fined one dollar and costs and gave notice of appeal.
OTT'S Dlue Store on Ohio street advertises shorthand typewriting book keeping and law courses with half the time and a third the price of rivals. Miss Allie Hughes of Norfolk was badly burned. DeWitt's Witch Hazel Salve claimed to soothe and heal without scarring. Serrvant's Pharmacy at 508 Ohio street sells the salve.
A Sentinel report describes a violent assault at Mrs Annie Ingram’s West Main Street home. The incident allegedly involved Lester, an admirer, who supposedly attacked her after jealousy over another man. Ingram was left badly beaten and unconscious around 2 pm, with the crime scene smeared in blood. Slick denies involvement.

August T. Fleischmann and Dr. E. F. Yancey with A. A. Krause J. H. Doyle H. Clay Arnold from Sedalia plus Billy Homan of Otterville left Saturday evening over the Katy in a private car for Corpus Christi Texas where they will spend two weeks hunting and fishing.
Dr Edward Russell of Eldorado Springs and Miss Mengel pass Sedalia en route to California where they will marry this afternoon. Both are noted as prominent and well known in Sedalia.
