Horace Lee killed Florence Lee in a boarding house with two bullets. Cornered by pursuers he attempted suicide by cutting his throat and then twice shot himself, dying soon after. Jealousy over a betrothal to Mrs. Lee, Milan Starkey of Kansas City was involved in the jealousy motive.
Senator Hanna is much better and preparations were made today for his return to Cleveland tonight. The report from Scripps-McRae Press Association notes his improvement and indicates a possible discharge or travel plan following his illness.
Uniontown Pa Dec 23 Jim Turner convicted of murder has left for Christmas with his wife and twelve children in West Virginia. He asked the judge for permission to go home and promised to return Monday. The sheriff supported the request and officials trust his word over any bond.
