The life saving station reports that a government ship appears to be aiding what seems to be a submarine three miles from Little Island. The sub has run into serious trouble and may be in peril.
Right Rev Abiel Leonard Episcopal bishop of Utah and Nevada died in Salt Lake City after a brief illness from typhoid fever. Born Fayette Missouri 1835 he was consecrated in 1888 and earlier led Sedalia Missouri parish growing it from thirty members. He married Flora Thompson in Sedalia in 1875 and leaves a wife and two daughters. His death is mourned by church and friends across regions.
Dr. E A Hawks of the Bureau of Personal Service arrives in Sedalia and promotes the Tone Liquor Cure. He guarantees removal of all craving for stimulants in a few hours with a permanent cure after a full course, and offers private consultations at the Elks hotel for a short time.
Pittsburg Dec 3 John Canavsky, who killed his wife, was hanged today. Sixteen minutes after leaving his cell his body was taken to the morgue.

Mrs Margaret Connor aged 56 died at 4 30 Wednesday evening at her Spring Fork home ten miles south of the city. Nine children survive. The remains will be brought to this city Friday morning for a funeral at Sacred Heart church at 10.
Two Sedalia corporations have agreed on terms for a consolidation of the Water and Light, Electric Light and Power, Gas and Fuel, Electric and Railway, and Economy Steam Heating companies. Final papers are expected in St Louis within 48 hours with a December 15 meeting to ratify remaining agreements. The merger aims to unite utilities under one head for better service and lower rates.
