A heavy morning rainstorm flooded the Missouri State Fairgrounds forcing the postponement of day two activities. Attendance estimates dropped with 1,000 paid yesterday and potential 5,000 to 6,000 visitors lost to the weather. Judges missed sessions but sheep and swine judging proceeded as officials assessed losses near $3,000.
Sedalia women lead the art department entries with works in oil, water color, and drawings. Oil painters include Loulu Williams and J. M. Planck group. water colors feature E. B. Mead and Nina Harris among others. crayons, charcoal, and pencils show works by F. W. Phipps, B. F. Hughes, and local colleges represented.
