Former Lieutenant Governor John A. Lee met with the Cole County grand jury amid speculation over immunity deals. Witnesses including John A. Knott and John H. A violent wind storm at the St Louis World's Fair grounds killed florist Theodore Richter of Kirkwood and injured several others while damaging the Agricultural and Electricity buildings and toppling scaffolding and power structures.
