Long obituary notes Judge D C Metsker aged sixty six who aided Sedalia’s development and held roles as probate judge of Shawnee county state senator and Topeka mayor. Charles Carrol travels to Topeka for funeral set for tomorrow at three o clock. Judge D C Metsker died at his son in law W E Sterne's home in Topeka Kansas after months of muscular rheumatism. A native of Ohio born near Boughman at sixty six he moved to Sedalia nine years ago and built the Quagrie railway as president. He united with the Methodist church and was a high ranking Mason and Odd Fellow. He was a trusted citizen who helped new enterprises and stood above reproach.
The World stage troupe arrives in Sedalia Sunday morning and opens a week at Wood's opera house Monday evening April 11.
