In St Peters burg on September 13 Zonaide Koneplianikove, known as the girl assassin of General Min, was executed after declaring loyalty to social revolution. The ropeed youth shouted Long live social revolution for lead and liberty before death.
An open letter to Mayor Moore and Chief Wappenstein warns of an impending Seattle confrontation with men tied to a Seattle bunco gang exposed by The Star. It claims these operatives, including Marsh alias Joe Carroll and Fred Cann, intend to return after “cleaning up” Vancouver fake wrestling, and urges action within 24 hours to curb their influence and stop further crimes.
The Star reports a gang led by Joe Carroll Ole Maresh and Jack Carkeek luring victims to fake wrestling matches at a Seattle lake houseboat. Dozens of dollars and thousands are alleged as victims are skimmed by the steerers. The Seattle Athletic Club faces reputational risk as organizers deny involvement.

Longtime First Ward councilman and Democratic figure Thomas Navin died at his home 724 Weller Street after a liver disease complication. He was 58, left a widow and four children, with a brother P W Navin in Seattle. The body lay in state at Collins Brothers funeral home.
