Railroad tied land deals loom in Tacoma harbor expansion
L R Manning of J T Woodward claims tideland purchases in Beattie and Tacoma serve railroad interests connected to the Rockefeller Harriman combine. Plans filed with the state land office call for four docks, two slips, harbor dredging to 30 feet, and railroad tracks extending into the harbor to accommodate ocean traffic. Authorities caution few details confirm company direction, awaiting Tacoma developments.
