Ex Governor A. P. Swineford of Ketchikan Alaska arrived in Seattle aboard the steamer Jefferson after a northern voyage. He reports southeastern Alaska in flourishing condition and notes rumors of heavy mining property dealings in the Admiralty Arm district. Swineford plans to depart tonight.
BK Barbee who has had charge of the United States telegraph office at Norfolk 60 miles from Eagle Alaska and the principal relay office in the interior is in Seattle. J Weasley Young once with the White Pass now a merchant at Rampart with Mia Young arrived in the city yesterday.
The Seattle high school senior class held a Hallowe en party and dance at the Renton Hill club house attended by about 200 seniors. Juniors plan their annual prom for next month.
