John Hildebrand armed with a revolver attempted to break from the county jail as Dr. Carson and jailer Wise were attacked. Sheriff Lou Smith, Deputy McGuire, and guard actions led to Hildebrand dropping his weapon and being recaptured. Dr. Carson sustained a scalp wound but recovered.
John Theondas, a Greek man, traveled to Spokane with about $100 alleged stolen from a room shared with Kinwell and L. Adama. A telegraphic dispatch urged Spokane police to detain him. Theondas faces grand larceny charges as a witness implicates an accomplice who knew the money’s location.

George Fuller, a cook, was arrested by Patrolman Le Count for allegedly assaulting the officer's wife Mrs Le Count. She claimed four Amazons and brass knuckles were used. Fuller says a butcher knife and knuckles were involved. The case goes to Justice BR. R. George Monday. Fuller is jailed awaiting bail.
Immigration inspector Geffney blocked the marriage of Suematsu Nakul to Hanaye Nakul claiming the proxy wife was unfit due to the groom’s medical condition. A special inquiry ordered the proxy deported, and the husband was allowed to leave her in care until cure, though conditional admission was denied. Local dispatch notes Capt.
