The British Indian government orders a second army contingent for South Africa. Telegraph to Jamestown Cape Colony cut off. presumed Boer capture of Jamestown. A skirmish near Kuruman in Rhodesia is reported as fighting continues.
Senator Cullom urged priority for Hawaii in the coming session noting the colony’s loyal Americans await representation. He said delays are no longer justified and asked for a concrete plan, including potential a form of government for Porto Rico, with attention to the Philippines and broader territorial matters.

Incorporators paid 4500 dollars tax advance and expect higher prices for New York and New Jersey consumers. The trust will deal in milk cream and related products and may produce butter and cheese.
A boiler used in an artesian well sinking near Kulpeville in Pottsown burned yesterday injuring School Director A T Kriebel and Wesley Tally in the legs and seriously injuring Jacob Friedrich on the head. The boiler was hurled over 200 feet into Rev B Anders woods.
In Maysville Kentucky Circuit Court convening November 20 Dick Coleman who murdered Mrs James Laashbrook on October 5 is to be brought in for trial. It is believed he will be transported at night from the train to a falling carriage to evade a mob.
