Peter Ayde proprietor of the 8t Paul Stove Repair and Plumbing company had a narrow escape when a runaway wagon overturned on Madison Street near Second Avenue. He fell while fleeing the team. A brick fell from the wagon and struck him, causing injuries described as painful but not serious.
Frank Westfall, jailed in San Francisco, faces embezzlement charges connected to H. McKee of Tacoma. A Tacoma butcher, Westfall is a prominent Seattle labor figure and former officer and leader in the Frye-Bruhn strike. He will be brought to Tacoma for trial.
