In Seattle on Halloween two youths and others fired by A H Stone 70 after a prank. Alice Rask 12 suffered 23 rock salt and buckshot wounds, Gertrude Keough 15 and Robert Robinson 8 lightly injured. Stone jailed on second degree assault. Deputy Bartling filed information. Fire Captain Robinson appears as witness. Over 50 other reports noted harmless pranks and three traffic risks were averted.
Police report a single assailant menacing Seattle women with attempted outrages across neighborhoods including Schneider's Prairie near Olympia. Chief Severyns urges caution, escorts for women at night, and avoiding strangers in cars as investigators pursue the suspect who has haunted ground floor residences and alleys.
Sam Funes, 43, a white shine stand proprietor, was knocked to the floor when his wife hurled a coffee pot during a family Halloween celebration. He was taken to the city hospital Tuesday night with several head lacerations and treated before being released.

A cyclone at Belleville Stove & Range Co. plant toppled a brick smokestack injuring six, three fatally, with unroofed houses and blown chimneys. In Webb City one woman crushed to death and about a dozen injured as the cyclone struck the town early today.

Gen Francisco Murguia was executed by firing squad at St Tepe huanes after a court martial and a morning execution. Captured in a church hours earlier by Gen Gabriel Carmona, he was aided to the hiding place by a priest. Murguia, a ardent Carranzista and rival of Obregon, had long been a top rebel foe.
A man was arrested then released after an attempted dynamite blast aimed at a Southern Pacific freight train near Burbank California. Two cars were wrecked and moved to a siding. the blast shook nearby homes and was believed to involve a time fuse device. Police remain mystified.
In Olympia on November 1 Governor Louis F Hart avoided Secretary of Labor Davis during a visit by Davis and his party. Hart sent word he was indisposed and was angry at Davis for backing Senator Miles Poindexter in the race. The clash pits Hart’s political machine against Poindexter’s organization amid the campaign.
