Spokane ran up an 8 to 2 victory over Tacoma as bad pitching blunted the Des tiny lads. Standing of the Clubs shows Spokane with 8 wins and 10 losses while Seattle trails.
Judge H G Struve and wife finish an extended European tour begun last year visiting the Varies exposition and historic interest points. The judge has since returned to Seattle once but went back to Europe last June. Mrs Struve travels for health and returns much improved.
Promoters backed by James J. Hill and a Scotch syndicate plan a large Bessemer steel plant and rolling mills in Seattle if iron ore deposits prove substantial. Judge Burke says frequent ore samples come in, with Seattle seen as ideal for shipbuilding to compete with eastern yards and secure Pacific coast trade.
