Dublin May 25 fighting raged between Sinn Fein rebels and British forces in the city center. The customs house was captured and set ablaze as casualties mounted with seven Sinn Feiners killed, eleven wounded, and 111 captured. civilians fled stores and windows shattered as police and troops deployed.

New York May 25 The executive committee of the American Steamship Owners association weighs Secretary Davis proposals for settlement of the seamen strike. Proposals include a 15 percent wage reduction with compromises in working conditions. The committee says Davis encouragement prolongs the strike while union leaders say negotiations benefited owners by diverting attention from the strike. If talks fail, all conferences may be called off.
Nine members of the Japanese house of representatives are expected to arrive in San Francisco aboard the Shinyo Maru. The Japanese colony plans extensive celebrations as the visitors tour Northern California cities and Los Angeles.
The poisoning of Mrs. Killa BE. Morton of the Diller hotel remains unsolved as she lies in Columbus sanitarium. She has fluctuating lucidity and cannot identify what she drank Monday evening. Doctors note alcoholic poisoning symptoms though her companions say no drinking occurred.

A stenographer recalled power of attorney letters and a vault release not signed in her presence. Wall noted Seattle arrest of Mahoney at his request and ongoing checks.
