Auto smash kills two and injures eight near Lake Forest Park
Frances Hayward 17 and Louis Cook 38, a city fireman, died in a two car crash on Bothell highway a half mile south of Lake Forest Park at 1 30 Saturday. Eight others were injured, three seriously, after vehicles racing toward the curve skidded and overturned.

Fire totaly destroys the Old Bay Line steamer Virginia near Smith's Island with three known deaths and many passengers believed lost.
