Auto Skids Into Window at Cherry Street Pharmacy

Suspect Held in Robbery In City Jail

Richard Orth, held this morning in the city jail, is suspected in the robbery of Wm. Dallam for $50 Tuesday night in a taxicab driven by Percy Young. Orth was transported from Tacoma yesterday by Detective Ben Cornelison. Young reports three passengers. one held a revolver and commanded a stop. Orth, 18, remains in custody pending investigation. The thief who stole Dr. James Bhannon’s car switched license numbers with Dr. Snow’s car to avoid inquiries. Water service will be shut Friday May 24 from 9 a.m. to noon between Brandon and Austin avenues and 46th Avenue south from Dawson Street to Brandon Street.
