Secret hearings in the Stillman di Vorce proceedings were postponed from May 25 to June 12 by mutual consent. Reported that James A. Stillman, former National City Bank president, aims to arrange a settlement outside court and suspend hearings to allow negotiations.
Those close to both principals say a settlement is near. Alimony of 7600 dollars per month is agreed. The remaining issue is the paternity of 1-year-old Guy Stilman, claimed by Stillman to be fathered by Fred Beauvain, a French Canadian guide.
