Coroner officials and relatives were notified. White had recently moved to his Hunts Point summer home after his canoe tipped and he vanished while dumping rubbish.
Seattle's street car system reports April operating revenues of 529109 against expenses of 262739 yielding 266370. After including interest depreciation and other charges the net gain over all expenses and charges stands at 37388 with a cash balance of 98014 in the street car fund.

Official estimates say railway operating expenses must fall by about 900 million dollars annually before managers can approach the Interstate Commerce Commission about freight rate reductions. Director Parmelee of the bureau of railway economics warned that no general rate cut is expected before late summer or possibly fall.
Madam Marie S. Curie, famed French chemist and radium discoverer, arrived in Washington to receive in person from President Harding a gram of radium valued at 100000 dollars.
