An advertisement for Madam Ruth a phrenologist located at Hotel Green room 20 Fourth and Pike offering guidance on business luck marriage courtship and future spouse matching advice on where to locate and how to avoid trouble with guaranteed satisfaction or no charge.
A fragmented early 20th century advertisement page lists multiple clairvoyants and mediums offering life reading services. Names include Madam Mellie Madam Victoria Helen Rick Burleigh Zelldo Reliabla and Madam Pranis with prices and locations across hotels and rooms. It markets readings for business love health and family, promising to reveal future spouses and remove obstacles.
The Frances L. Skinner formerly the Sesostris has joined the Skinner & Eddy fleet in Seattle after being towed from the coast. Owners claim the ship was well cared for on the sand and could sail under its own power to Seattle in three weeks, with a stop at San Diego for coal. A separate note reports the Osaka Saigon Maru delivering 5 000 tons of rubber tin and rice to Seattle.
The Northwestern Fisheries Company's bark Guy C Gows reached port after an all day voyage from Chicknik on the Bering Sea. It was towed from Cape Plattery by the tug Tyee and will return north in early June with construction and cannery supplies. Separately the motor ship Ruby, owned by Capt Louis Knaflich, arrived in Seattle from Jethel Alaska and will load for Kuskokwim river points before heading north on May 22.
