Tacoma date May 13 reports that Louisville Ky will host the 192% congress of Mothers and Parent Teachers associations if the board approves the delegates recommendation. Edmond B Meany Ralph Swetman and Dr Edward O Sisson spoke at the general meeting as the convention ends today.
SAN FRANCISCO May 13 Jesse Hall of Portland was treated for minor injuries and H M Hall of Seattle was arrested charged with speeding after a collision between their car and one driven by Mrs Clara Meyer. Mrs Meyer was practically unhurt.
J Richard Dillon will deliver the Mothers Day oration at Seattle lodge No 211 Loyal Order of Moose annual service at 2 pm Sunday. The Moose temple at Mighthave and University streets hosts the observance with a musical program led by William Bradley for community singing. Lacretelle notes a sentiment about a son who never resisted his mother’s tears.
Dispatches from Washington report the Jones Miller narcotics bill has passed both houses and awaits the president's signature. It tightens federal narcotics laws, imposes ten years or a 5000 dollar fine, and requires deportation for alien violators after prison terms. A federal narcotics board will oversee import controls and limited opium and coca for medicine.
Two bandits halted the mail car of the Arizona and New Mexico railroad near Clifton Springs Arizona and stole several pouches of mail and packages of undetermined value. Police reported no injuries and investigation began at once.

Floyd E. Hall a World War II veteran with the 146th field artillery shot his wife Elsie three times in the neck at the Tuelle restaurant in Pendleton Oregon. He was arrested after an apparent suicide attempt and said he suffered shell shock. The couple had reconciled their estrangement yesterday.
The interior department says further gasoline price hikes of four to five cents per gallon will take effect by mid June, on top of gains of four to six cents in the past six weeks. Senator McKellar asks Congress to investigate gasoline pricing in a senate resolution.
The Federal Trade Commission wires the involved companies for full and specific information on the proposed steel consolidation after the La Follette resolution demanded a formal investigation.
Two armed bandits robbed a Japanese grocery at 817 Eighth Ave shortly before noon Saturday. They held up Mrs. H Ayden, wife of the proprietor, and escaped with $49. Investigation ongoing.
Otis Hefner, 30, lies in Seattle hospital paralysed after a stolen car he was driving skidded off a road near Edmonds and overturned. Detective F W Richardson and Sergt William G Witzke aided in recovering Hefner, with five Seattle women inside the vehicle. Hefner faces grand larceny charges if he recovers.
Gunmen killed two wealthy Italians, Debdilla Liacoha and Vito Giorgio, in a Chicago barber shop. They had just arrived from Buffalo via New Orleans and are believed targeted in a Black Hand feud. Police think the killers trailed them across the country.
Ellensburg May 13 Snoqualmie Pass will not be open before mid next week says Cris Hidal in charge of Kittitas County state highway maintenance after a trip to the pass. About two miles of snow must still be cleared.
