Illicit Liquor Trade Leads to Fine at Madison Park
James Harriott, owner of an illegitimate liquor shop at Madison Park, was fined $50 by Police Judge George after pleading guilty to selling liquor without a license. Liquor was seized by Police Captain Willard, who had bought it Thursday at the defendant’s business. Harriott had filed a license application with the council, but no action was taken.
