Washington reports a mystery surrounds an alleged plot to abduct British war hero Robertson, lover of Miss Mary Culbertson of Texas, involving U S Senator Culbertson's family and private detectives. San Francisco May 7 in mourning for Edward Hanify lumberman and steamer owner and Ian Anderson and Christenson yacht pilots who drowned Saturday night off Hayward. Bodies of Hanify and Anderson recovered chained in a struggle. Christenson's body found today as plane and boat crews search the wrecked yacht cruising from San Mateo. The two men were directors of the San Francisco Olympic Club with wide business ties in timber and steamship lines.

Body of J M Patterson chairman of the board and founder of the National Cash Register Co was taken to Atlantic City for burial. Patterson died of heart trouble while en route to the city.
